About

Hi, I'm Dr Charlotte Middleton :)

Graduating from Flinders Medical Centre (Adelaide) in 1997, I enjoyed 15 years working mainly in Neonatal, Paediatric and Maternity Health in various hospitals around Australia before transitioning into General Practice 9 years ago.

Being a GP allows me to continue my work in Womens' and Childrens' Health, and to practice Integrative Medicine (a combination of traditional and evidence based complementary medicine) with a particular emphasis on the use of nutrition, vitamins and supplements to optimise health.

Increasingly interested in the impact of technology on healthcare, I was the Clinical Lead at digital health company Healthshare for 2 years, before joining health software company MedicalDirector  as their Chief Medical Officer in early 2017. I recently obtained a Certificate in Health Informatics, from the Australasian Digital Health Association.

A side career in medical education and media has meant I regularly appear on TV segments, educational videos, conferences and guest panels and have been featured in numerous publications. This experience and working in maternity health for many years led to the creation of the 'Common Post-Natal Issues' videos, which are used by maternity hospitals, maternity educators and expectant/new parents Australia-wide.

I hope you enjoy the videos as much as I enjoyed creating them!
